The Pensacola Mill is currently seeking an E&I Journeyman.

Position Scope:

This is a journeyman-level electrical and instrument (EI) person responsible to complete scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance and break-in EI work along with performing many other duties both as part of a team and independently.
Duties include, but are not limited to,
installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining 480v thru 5kv motor controls, 13.
8kv electrical systems, relay logic, PLC systems, DCS and a variety of field instruments, analytical equipment and final control elements.

Position
Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair AC and DC drive systems as well as stand-a-lone process drives of various manufactures
  • Troubleshoot, configure, maintain DCS systems such as Foxboro IA, Foxboro EVO, Bailey INFI 90 and ABB ACS800xa
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain 480v, 2300v and 4160v motors including induction, synchronous, wound rotor, permanent magnet and DC
  • Instillation, calibration, troubleshooting various manufactures of analog and SMART instruments and analytical equipment
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain motor controls including electronic motor protection relays, sizing overloads and starter maintenance of various manufactures
  • Shop and field repair of final control elements such as pneumatic valves, electric valves, solenoid operated valves, calibration of pneumatic and SMART valve positioners
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain various electrical components such as mechanical limit, proximity, photo electric, speed and reflective switches
  • Install, program, troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems including associated communication such as DH+, mod-bus, Ethernet
  • Read, interpret and red line wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, P&ID s and loop sheets
  • Understand and follow 70E regulations involving Arc Flash and Shock hazards
  • Communicate with operators while troubleshooting electrical and instrument controls
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on routine and extended annual outages
  • Maintain shops, load centers, DCS work areas to a 5S standard
  • Other duties as assigned

Required
Experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Eligible for employment in the US
  • Must have two (2) of the following:

> Four-years electrical apprenticeship

> Electrical degree certified from accredited college or trade school

> Two (2) or more years industrial EI maintenance experience

  • Willing and capable of working all shifts
  • Able to work in a team environment

Plus must be willing to meet the following requirements:

  • Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment.
  • Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment.
  • Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
  • Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification.
  • Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
  • Respond to emergencies during off hours and weekends
  • Wear required safety equipment/PPE
  • Continue to develop skills to become a multi-skill EI technician
  • Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.
    e.
    warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, and heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection).

Preferred
Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a maintenance discipline.
  • Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.
  • Strong math/physics understanding.
  • Prior experience as a multi-skill mechanic.
